With this call for proposals, the Fritz and Trude Fortmann Foundation aims to promote research on the aging of building materials.

A research project may receive funding of up to 300,000 euros over a two-year period. A workshop on this topic will take place in Berlin in June 2027. Invitations to selected authors will be sent out at the end of April 2027.

Please submit concept proposals of no more than two pages by January 15, 2027. Collaborations between engineering and architecture firms are encouraged; creative contributions from the fields of architecture, design, and art are just as welcome as theoretical or historical research projects.
